The two level 8,000 SF building is located on a corner adjacent to a major campus bike and pedestrian route. The building siting and landscape design addressed issues of campus orientation and circulation.  A plaza entry court consisting of colorful paving and pink flowering trees and hedges creates an outdoor room for students and a central orientation and focus for the building.  The design process involved extensive collaboration with the client housing administration team and campus planning groups.  Landscape planning and design included studies of future expanded bike and pedestrian pathways around the site.

ABLA provided site and landscape design including: grading, landscape construction, hardscape, and softscape areas.  Work included schematic design through construction observation.
